Holiday Message from the Department Commander

Dear American Legion Family,

As we gather in spirit this holiday season, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes for peace, joy, and hope to each of you and your families. Christmas is a time to reflect on the bonds that unite us—not only as Legionnaires but as a family committed to service and support.

This season can be especially difficult for those who have recently lost a loved one. Please remember the importance of our Buddy Check. Take a moment to reach out to a fellow member or a family who may be grieving. A simple call or visit can make a world of difference and remind them they are not alone.

Together, we honor the memory of those we’ve lost and uphold the values that make our Legion strong: camaraderie, compassion, and service.

“The greatest legacy we can leave is not what we have, but what we give and how we live.” — Unknown

Thank you for all you do for our veterans, our community, and each other. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a hopeful New Year.
