Baseball
Since 1925, American Legion Baseball has contributed to the
development of good sportsmanship and good citizenship while providing wholesome
recreation for the nation's youth.
The history of American Legion Baseball has proved that
American youths receive on the baseball diamond a thorough understanding of
sportsmanship, teamwork, and good citizenship - valued traits for America's
future leaders.
Location of the 2013 American Legion of Iowa Department
Championship Baseball tournaments (Junior and Senior) will determined after the official Legion
Baseball Committee meeting, scheduled for March 2, at Department Headquarters
in Des Moines.
Player Nick Navin was named as the 2012 recipient of the Earl H. and Esther
J. Proctor Award, chosen by the sons of the late couple, for the past 46 years!
Congratulations!
