23rd Junior Auxiliary Camp
Junior Camp will be held on June 9-13 2008 at the
Iowa 4-H Center, Madrid, IA.
The Statistics about the infamous Junior Auxiliary Camp in its 23rd year are
detailed below:
WHAT:
American Legion Auxiliary Junior Camp
WHO: Any Junior Auxiliary member between the ages of 8 through 18 years of age
may attend.
WHERE:
Iowa
4-H Center at Madrid, IA
WHEN:
Monday, June 9 through Friday, June13.
WHY: To learn about the programs of the American Legion Auxiliary, meet new
friends, greet old friends, and be a girl.
COST: $ 100.00 camping fee, $ 5.00 Official Camp T Shirt and a little spending
money.
Units: Help send a Junior to camp. Sponsor one, two or more. I would like to
have every District, County, and Unit represented. Help me achieve this goal.
An application can be obtained from the Unit's President, Junior Chairman or
this website. Please mail a completed form along with the camp fee and the T
shirt money to the Department office before April 1, 2008.
Junior Department Convention: will be Friday
in the main lodge at the 4-H
Center. The camp attendees are urged to attend convention, then go home with
their parents or responsible adult. Convention fee of $.50 for each Junior is
NOT included in the Camp Fee.

Field trip ideas are wanted. Got one, share it with a member of the camp
committee.
Program Presentations are always welcome as well as any moldy cash that your
unit may have just lying around. Share them with us. We can find a way to use
either one.
